Obstacles To Overcome When Renting A Car by Jim Brown
Some travelers have perfect credit histories and have no problem whatsoever when renting a car for any length of time. There are other travelers who are not as fortunate and have many obstacles to overcome when renting a car. Some of these obstacles will involve laws and others will encompass financial reasoning. Once these obstacles are overcome though, a travel can enjoy the rest of their journey.
The first obstacle that a traveler must detour around is finding a rental car location that has the type of automobile that they need. Even perfect drivers who are overweight can not fit into a compact sized automobile and derive any type of enjoyment while driving it. When they locate a luxury sized automobile that gives them extra space in the midriff, a pudgy waist driver will feel more comfortable with the rental agreement that they are signing.
Some rental car agencies give young drivers many hurdles to overcome in order to receive a rental car. The new drivers must possess a valid credit card that has enough of a balance on it to pay for the entire rental ahead of time. Some credit card companies will only give young drivers low credit limits which are inadequate for renting a vehicle for even one week. Young drivers will learn very quickly how to work around these obstacles and be in the drivers seat before the ink is dry on the contract.
Some rental car agencies are willing to work with customers to meet their needs. If a credit card has a low limit, they are willing to make several rental contracts for the same rental automobile and adjust the dates so that the rentals run consecutively. The customer must make payments on the credit card during their travels but this is just a minor inconvenience to those who want to get where they are going to without any further obstacles in their way.
Some travelers will use a variety of coupons to avoid obstacles that stand in their way when renting a car. They might choose a compact car because an upgrade coupon will save them quite a few dollars. When the rental car agency does not have compact cars in their fleet, then car renters can get a larger car for the price of the compact that is in an ad or on a coupon they have.
Some obstacles require extra maneuvering and caution when renting an automobile. A driver might be forced to pay additional charges for insurance because the automobile insurance policy they have does not include the rental of cars or damage that might occur when people park them at night. Some drivers lower the rental rates by stating that they have coverage and drive very carefully during their travels with nobody being the wiser.
