As adults, it is perfectly normal and is expected to use a pillow during sleep. In fact, sleeping without a pillow can be very painful and leave us waking up with stiff neck or perhaps we even stopped to sleep in the first place.
It is therefore not surprising that many parents wonder if their child would also be more comfortable if given a pillow baby.
The answer, however, depends on the age of your child, and where to sleep …….
If your child is under two years, a pillow is certainly recommended. A child under that age usually do not require support for the head and above all there is always a risk of choking on her pillow. Also, if your child is still young at this age, but began to climb, crawl or walk, and the pillow can be used as an aid to the escalation of their birthplace.
Therefore, most investigations suggest that, normally, a pillow should not be regarded as the baby has at least two years and not sleeping in a crib but has progressed to a toddler bed.
Even when your child is a little older, but not always necessary to use a pillow. If you sleep without a pillow, then it is probably not necessary to enter.
If and when you decide to give your child a pillow, make sure it is authentic "Sleep Baby Pillow" instead of what you already have in your house. The pillow should be sufficiently firm so that the child can not sink into it whilst sleeping and be smothered or suffocated. It should also be lower than a regular adult pillow, possibly around the size a travel pillow and be easily washable for when your child has these little accidents. If your child suffers from allergies, you can also buy a baby pillow that is hypoallergenic
If you still have doubts about whether it is time to put a baby pillow of the bed of his son might consider talking to physician for entry or simply wait until your child actually asks pillow or shows signs of trouble sleeping on a flat bed.
